In an exciting move, Princess Cruises has announced that for the first time in several years, they will be doubling their summer presence in the Caribbean in 2026. This expansion will see Princess Cruises homeporting one ship in Port Canaveral and another in Fort Lauderdale, offering a total of 90-plus cruises from these two ports. This marks the biggest summer Caribbean cruise season for Princess Cruises.

The Caribbean Princess will set sail from Port Canaveral on seven-day cruises to both the Eastern and Western Caribbean. Meanwhile, the Regal Princess will depart from Fort Lauderdale on seven-day cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, as well as eight-day cruises to the Southern Caribbean. Both ships will also offer open-jaw itineraries, providing passengers with a unique cruising experience.

One of the highlight itineraries includes a 13-day cruise on the Caribbean Princess from Fort Lauderdale to Port Canaveral. This cruise will feature stops at Princess Cays, Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, San Juan, Amber Cove, Grand Turk, and Nassau. Additionally, the Regal Princess will embark on a 14-day journey from Fort Lauderdale to New York, with ports of call in Curacao, Aruba, Grenada, Barbados, Dominica, St. Maarten, and San Juan.

Unfortunately, Princess Cruises recently had to cancel several months of cruises in Australia due to unexpected maintenance requirements for the Crown Princess. This decision affects cruises scheduled to depart from Australia between September 26, 2025, and January 12, 2026. Despite this setback, Princess Cruises remains committed to providing exceptional cruise experiences for their guests in the Caribbean.

The decision to double Princess Cruises’ summer presence in the Caribbean in 2026 is a bold move that highlights the company’s dedication to providing diverse and exciting cruise itineraries for its passengers. With new routes, extended sailings, and a focus on popular Caribbean destinations, Princess Cruises is set to deliver unforgettable experiences for travelers looking to explore the beauty of the Caribbean seas.
