Carnival Corp. is set to invest in Celebration Key, a new private beach destination in Grand Bahama, in addition to expanding its existing private destination, Half Moon Cay. This move aims to enhance the beach, dining, and overall guest experience on the Bahamian island, primarily used by Holland America Line and its sister lines.

The company’s investment in Celebration Key will include expanded beach, dining, and beverage offerings, catering to the needs and preferences of cruise passengers. Moreover, plans were announced back in 2019 to construct a pier that will enable certain ships to dock at the destination, opening up new possibilities for Carnival Cruise Line.

New Ship Visits

The enhancements at Half Moon Cay will pave the way for Carnival Cruise Line’s Excel-class ships, namely Mardi Gras, Celebration, and Jubilee, to visit the island for the first time. With the addition of Half Moon Cay to their itineraries, these ships will offer passengers a unique and memorable experience at the Bahamian paradise.

Various Carnival Cruise Line ships will incorporate stops at Half Moon Cay and Celebration Key in their upcoming itineraries. From Miami, the Carnival Celebration will cruise the eastern and western Caribbean, including stops at Nassau, Grand Turk, Amber Cove, Cozumel, and more.
Additionally, Mardi Gras out of Port Canaveral and Jubilee out of Galveston will offer similar itineraries, combining the best of the Caribbean and the Bahamas for passengers to enjoy.

Carnival Dream, sailing out of Galveston, will provide passengers with a mix of six-, seven-, and eight-day cruises to the eastern and western Caribbean, including stops at Celebration Key and Half Moon Cay. Moreover, the ship will also introduce 14-day cruises to the eastern and southern Caribbean, featuring ports of call like Ocho Rios, Barbados, St. Lucia, and St. Kitts.

For those departing from Baltimore, the Carnival Pride will offer cruises calling at either Half Moon Cay or Princess Cays, along with stops at Celebration Key and Nassau. This diverse range of cruise options allows passengers to choose itineraries that best suit their preferences and travel plans.

Carnival Corp.’s investment in Celebration Key and the expansion of Half Moon Cay signify a commitment to offering passengers unique and enriching experiences at their private beach destinations. With new itineraries and enhanced amenities, Carnival Cruise Line continues to elevate the guest experience and set new standards in the cruising industry.
