Universal’s domestic theme parks are gearing up to introduce guests to a world of magic and wonder with the arrival of “Wicked” experiences. Set to coincide with the release of Universal Pictures’ “Wicked” on Nov. 22, these immersive experiences will be available at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort starting in late October.
At Universal Orlando Resort, “Wicked: The Experience” will be taking center stage at a new location near the front gate of Universal Studios Florida. Formerly occupied by the UNIVRS store, this space will be transformed into a magical realm inspired by “Wicked.” Guests can expect to find re-creations of iconic locations from the film, such as Shiz University and the Emerald City, along with authentic props and costumes from the movie.
Meanwhile, over at Universal Studios Hollywood, the Feature Presentation store within the park and the UNIVRS store at Universal CityWalk Hollywood will undergo a magical makeover to bring the world of “Wicked” to life. Visitors can look forward to encountering props, costumes, and even a photo op inspired by the popular film. Additionally, costumes will be displayed at the Universal Cinema in CityWalk once the movie premieres.
In addition to the enchanting experiences, both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort will offer specialty dining items inspired by “Wicked.” Guests can indulge in themed dishes at popular eateries like Voodoo Doughnuts and the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen. Moreover, specially themed merchandise will be available for purchase, allowing fans to take home a piece of the magic.
Excitingly, the magic of “Wicked” will not be limited to just domestic parks. Universal Studios Singapore and Universal Studios Japan are set to introduce their own “Wicked” experiences later this year and early next year. Fans around the world will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of “Wicked” and experience the magic firsthand.
