Windstar Cruises recently announced details about the first of two new ships under construction, including the introduction of two new suite categories. The Star Seeker will feature two Horizon Owners Suites located at the aft of the ship on deck 7, each boasting a wraparound balcony for guests to enjoy. These suites can also be combined with adjacent suites to accommodate larger groups, such as multigenerational families. In addition to the Horizon Owners Suites, the ship will offer a total of 112 staterooms, some of which will allow for triple occupancy.

The Star Seeker will also introduce 30 Infinity Suites, showcasing a floor-to-ceiling infinity window that slides down halfway from the top, reminiscent of styles found on expedition ships. Additionally, guests can choose from ten Oceanview suites, complete with a window and a walk-in mosaic glass shower. Notably, there will be no interior cabins on the ship. For those looking for a more luxurious experience, the four highest suite categories – Horizon, Star, Classic, and Deluxe – will include special amenities such as an Illy espresso machine, canapes service, and fresh flowers. All suites and staterooms will feature a calming color scheme of light wood, blues, greens, and natural browns to create a sense of tranquility.

Slated to launch in January 2026, the Star Seeker will offer a variety of dining options, including five restaurants, as well as a full-service spa for guests seeking relaxation. One of the unique features of the ship is its innovative watersports platform, allowing passengers to access the water directly from the ship for a more immersive experience. The Seeker is currently under construction in Portugal and will embark on its maiden voyage with a transatlantic crossing from Malaga to Miami, where it will be christened before setting off to cruise the Caribbean. Following its time in the Caribbean, the ship will sail up the West Coast to Alaska for a full season before transitioning to Japan and cruising in Southeast Asia.

Windstar plans to announce the ship’s itineraries in early September, with priority booking given to Windstar’s Yacht Club loyalty members and travel advisors. The Star Seeker is the first of two new ships joining Windstar’s fleet in 2026, with the Star Explorer expected to debut in December of the same year. Travelers and cruise enthusiasts can look forward to a new and exciting experience with Windstar Cruises and its upcoming ships.
